Episode 1 - The Invitation
Season 4
After Zane's death, the Ninja have split up, having new jobs. Jay is a TV presenter, Cole is a lumberjack, and Kai is a slither pit fighter. Lloyd tries to put the team back together, and they eventually come to a noodle house where Lloyd is. They discover Zane is alive, and set off to find him, with Sensei Garmadon following. The Ninja team is fractured after the loss of Zane. However, the Ninja soon get the message that Zane is still alive, but they have to compete in Master Chen's Tournament of Elements if they want to see him again. The Ninja are supposed to keep the tournament secret, but Sensei Garmadon talks to Lloyd and he asks Garmadon if other people have elemental powers like the ninja. While boarding on Chen's ship, they see the other contestants are descendants of the Elemental Masters, guardians of the First Spinjitzu Master, and learn they are not the only ones with elemental power. The Elemental Masters include Skylor, Master of Amber; Karloff, Master of Metal; Griffin Turner, Master of Speed; Invizable, Master of Light; Toxikita, Master of Poison; Ash, Master of Smoke; Leaf, Master of Grass; Bolobo, Master of Nature; Gravis, Master of Gravity; Jacob, Master of Sound; Camille, Master of Form; Shadow, the Master of Shadow; and Neuro, Master of the Mind. Soon, Kai starts to have feelings for Skylor as well as rivalry with Karlof.

Episode 2 - Only One Can Remain
Season 4
After the ninja arrive at Chen's island, Garmadon tells them he used to train under Chen. When inside, Chen himself greets the Elemental Fighters, and teaches them about the Tournament of Elements and the Jade Blades. In the end, Karlof becomes the first Elemental Master to lose. While the ninja are searching for Zane, they accidentally stumble into a secret gathering of Chen and his cultists just in time to see Chen steal Karlov's powers.

Episode 3 - Versus
Season 4
Zane has lost his memory, but regains it after meeting P.I.X.A.L. in the other room. He discovers P.I.X.A.L. has been scraped but he puts her hard-drive inside himself, becoming compatible with her. However, he gets captured again. Meanwhile, Gravis has to fight Griffin, Bolobo has to fight Neuro, and Kai has to fight Ash. The winners Griffin, Neuro, and Kai advance in the tournament. Clouse decides to get revenge on the Ninja for intruding Chen's room and has Jay and Cole fight each other. The Ninja try to get help from Neuro, but he fails to break into Chen's room. Cole and Jay eventually have to fight each other. However, Cole gives up the Jade Blade to Jay and gets knocked out of the tournament.

Episode 4 - Ninja Roll
Season 4
After Jacob loses to Skylor, Kai learns she has the power of absorption . In addition, the remaining Elemental Masters must compete in a roller skating competition. The teams: Lloyd's team with the Ninja vs Chamille with the other Masters. After many laps, the Master of Form crosses the finish line first. However, she was missing her Jade Blade, leaving Lloyd as the victor. Meanwhile, Cole, Karlof, and the other masters are forced to work for Master Chen's noodle factory, Jacob the master of sound being blind hears an opportunity too escape, but he's caught and is instructed to be eaten by the serpent. However, Cole sees Zane's prison, promising to release him. Nya also uses her new vehicle to locate the Ninja on Chen's island.

Episode 5 - Spy For a Spy
Season 4
The Ninja form an alliance with the Elemental Masters and convince them about Chen's plan. Meanwhile, Nya goes to Chen's palace, disguised as a Kabuki, and steals Clouse's spell that turns Chen's followers into Anacondrai. Cole and Zane also manage to break out of Master Chen's Noodle Factory.

Episode 6 - Spellbound
Season 4
After Nya stole Clouse's spell, Chen commands that whoever finds Nya wins the tournament. Lloyd also learns how to use a green version of the Golden Dragon with his power. Meanwhile, Lloyd and Garmadon stumble upon the place where a great battle between the Elemental Masters and the Anacondrai took place. Garmadon tells Lloyd the story of how Master Chen and the Anacondrai conquered Ninjago, until the sacred flute was invented and was used to defeat the snakes. The Anacondrai Generals were then vanished into a portal to the Cursed realm While the other Anacondrai were locked in tombs , never returning to Ninjago. Meanwhile, Chen captures all the Elemental Masters, Nya, and Dareth; except for Garmadon and Lloyd. Skylor is also revealed to be Chen's daughter.

Episode 7 - The Forgotten Element
Season 4
Master Chen drains out all the Master's powers but Lloyd's. He has Kai betray Lloyd and trick him into battling Chen. Chen uses the Elemental Powers and wins, obtaining Lloyd's element. However, Kai and Skylor take Chen's staff and destroy it, releasing the powers back to the Elemental Masters, who have escaped from the Noodle Factory.

Episode 8 - The Day of The Dragon
Season 4
Although all the Masters have escaped, Clouse discovers that Skylor's Amber can still be used to gain all the Elemental Powers. While Skylor and Kai attempted to escape from Chen, they are captured by Kapau and Chope. Clouse tries to banish Garmadon in the forgotten realm, but Garmadon escapes and Clouse gets himself stuck inside the portal. Zane, Kai, Jay, Cole, Karlof, Griffin, Shadow, Tox, Paleman, Gravis, Chamille, Neuro, Bolobo and Ash all learn to that they have a stronger power in them a dragon power and all the Elemental masters follow Chen and his army to Ninjago city.

Episode 9 - The Greatest Fear of All
Season 4
Master Chen uses the spell, turning his men, himself, Skylor, and Garmadon into Anacondrai, the strongest warriors ever to do battle. With the Anacondrai on the loose, the Ninja visit Ninjago's worst jail. There they meet the shrunken Pythor and ask for his assistance. Coincidentally, Master Chen has learned the spell has temporary effects and only an essence of a true Anacondrai can make it permanent; capturing Pythor.

Episode 10 - The Corridor of Elders
Season 4
The ninja and fighters discover there's a strategic location called the Corridor of Elders where they can make their last stand against Chen's Anacondrai army...but even with the new Destiny Bounty, their forces still aren't strong enough. Fortunately, Pythor escapes Chen's clutches and discovers there is one spell in the Book of Magic that could stop the war, but at a serious cost. Garmadon has to banish himself to the forgotten realm in order to release the spirits of the real Anacondrai Generals. The spirits then banish Chen and his army to the cursed realm and the war is stopped. Skylor, who's no longer an Anacondrai, decided to run her father's noodle business. The episode ends with the ninja burning the spellbook and saying words about Garmadon and the introduction of a new enemy, Morro.

Episode 1 - Winds of Change
Season 5
Lloyd goes on a mission by himself, then realizes it was a trap set by the Ghost Ninja Morro, who escaped the Cursed Realm and intends to possess Lloyd. The other ninja lose their elemental powers because of this. After possessing Lloyd, Morro goes to Sensei Wu's tea shop to get the staff that was given to him by the First Spinjitzu Master. The ninja and Sensei Wu escape on Destiny's Bounty and soon realize they are being followed by Morro, who uses Lloyd's elemental dragon. Wu reveals to the four Ninja that Morro was his first student.

Episode 2 - Ghost Story
Season 5
As the ninja escape on Destiny's Bounty, Morro boards the vessel and tries to get Sensei Wu's staff. Sensei Wu throws his staff off the Bounty and Morro goes to get it. Meanwhile, the Bounty crashes. The ninja then learn that the staff had a clue to where the First Spinjitzu Master's tomb is. The first clue was Airjitzu. The ninja decide to go to Stiix, a city in Ninjago to get the scroll from Ronin, who stole it. On the way there they are attacked by a ghost that Morro summoned, but the ninja defeat him. The ninja find out that water destroys them. Later Sensei Wu tells Nya she must train to become the water ninja.

Episode 3 - Stiix and Stones
Season 5
The ninja are trying to get the Scroll Of Airjitzu from a thief, Ronin, before Morro gets it, they also try to find out who is the best leader without Lloyd around. Ronin gives the ninja Aeroblades which can defeat the ghosts. Meanwhile Sensei Wu trains Nya to be the master of water.

Episode 4 - The Temple on Haunted Hill
Season 5
While the ninja are tested in the haunted temple of Sensei Yang, the creator of Airjitzu, Nya wants to help the ninja. So she pays Ronin to take her to her secret Samurai X cave where they encounter Morro and his cursed ghosts who are after Nya's samurai suit. Nya finds out she is the water ninja after she makes it rain in the desert while being chased by Morro's cursed ghosts. Meanwhile the ninja face their tests of fear and get the Scroll Of Airjitzu. However, they drop it and Cole gets turned into a ghost when he chooses to retrieve the scroll rather than escape.

Episode 5 - Peak-a-Boo
Season 5
The ninja must travel to the Cloud Kingdom for a sword that will show their enemy's next move, giving them a huge advantage because they can get a powerful sword there. To get there, they must climb the tallest mountain in Ninjago and jump into a cyclone that passes over the top of the mountain to get to the Cloud Kingdom. Halfway there, the ninja they discover some tracks left by Morro's stolen mech, and realize that he is headed to Cloud Kingdom for the sword as well, so they try and pick up the pace. During an avalanche, Cole accepts being a ghost, and doing so, saves his 'brothers' from the avalanche. Afterwards, he finds out some neat tricks as a ghost to help him and his 'brothers' beat Morro. They get to the Cloud Kingdom first by using Airjitsu successfully and Morro get's there just in time to see the Ninja leave for the Cloud Kingdom, and his window of opportunity to get there close. Back at the Bounty, Sensei Wu and Nya capture one of the ghost Ghoul Tar who fell off the mountain during the fight with the ninja and demand answers.

Episode 6 - Kingdom Come
Season 5
The ninja have arrived at Cloud Kingdom, where they begin their search for the Sword of Sanctuary while Wu, Nya, Misako and Ronin interrogate the captured Ghoul Tar. Back at the kingdom, the ninja are deceived by one of the kingdom's headmasters, who has some form of an alliance with Morro and has let him into the Kingdom. Morro manages to obtain the Sword Of Sanctuary, but the ninja battle him for it, until he, Bansha and Soul Archer escape the kingdom on a ghostly skiff, with the ninja in pursuit. The ninja pursue Morro down the Wailing Alps, with everyone boarding the Bounty once more except Kai, who stays behind and takes the Sword of Sanctuary from Morro as Lloyd regains control of his body. The episode ends with the ninja flying off into the sunset on board the Bounty, ready for the next step of the mission.

Episode 7 - The Crooked Path
Season 5
The ninja now have all the items they need to get to the tomb of the First Spinjitzu Master but before they can figure out the last clue that leads to the location of the tomb, Ronin steals the Sword Of Sanctuary to give Morro in exchange for his soul, and the Ninja and Nya are unable to stop him. Morro takes possession of Ronin to trick the ninja.

Episode 8 - Grave Danger
Season 5
The ninja now have to go into the ocean to get the Realm Crystal before Morro does. After surviving two trials, the ninja find the Realm Crystal at the tomb of the First Spinjitzu Master, but Morro demands the Realm Crystal in exchange for Lloyd. Kai tricks Morro, and he and Cole get Lloyd while Zane and Jay fight Morro. Cole manages to save Kai and Lloyd from falling over the waterfall, but leaves Morro to obtain the Realm Crystal, which he uses to open a portal to the Cursed Realm and escape.

Season 5
The ninja go to Stiix to try to stop Morro from unleashing the Preeminent. At the end the Preeminent is unleashed and Lloyd goes to the Cursed Realm.

Episode 10 - Curse World, Part II
Season 5
The ninja must protect Stiix from the Preemiment. Meanwhile, Lloyd uses his father's help to get him out of the Cursed Realm, and fight Morro when the ninja get on a boat. Nya unlocks her true potential and creates a wave that drowns the Preeminent. Sensei Wu tries to save Morro who feels remorseful, but he claims that you can only save those that want to be saved. Morro drowns and is erased from existence, but he gives Sensei Wu the Realm Crystal. Using the Realm Crystal, the ninja bring back Lloyd from the realm he was left behind in. Lloyd tells them that the Sword of Sanctuary gave him a glimpse of what would happen next, and he purposely let Morro return alone. Lloyd decides to follow in his fathers' footsteps and train people.
